DURHAM, N.C. – Dec. 11, 2013 – Truphone, the global mobile operator without country borders, today announced it has named a new head of its U.S. sales organization and will expand its market presence by significantly increasing its sales team to better support the international mobility requirements of businesses throughout the country.
Guy Gettens has been named vice president of Sales for Truphone Americas. He is responsible for managing all business sales activities throughout the U.S. and will be based at Truphone’s new sales headquarters located in New York City. “Today’s mobility explosion requires that businesses and their employees stay connected wherever and whenever they need to be,” said Tim Raby, senior vice president for Truphone Americas. “Truphone was built for global business and that makes us unique in our ability to understand the pain and the opportunities of international communications. Guy brings a strong resume of communications expertise to Truphone and has a keen insight into the mobility challenges our customers face. He and our sales team are ready to help businesses eliminate the mobility barriers they face today.”
Truphone is rapidly expanding its national sales presence by establishing regional sales hubs in major markets across the country. Initial locations include New York, Houston and San Francisco, with additional sales offices to be opened throughout 2014. Truphone currently operates a research and engineering center in Newark, N.J., and an operations center in Cleveland.
Truphone is the only mobile operator in the world that expands the reach of businesses beyond the borders of their home country. The Truphone Zone includes Australia, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, the U.S. and the U.K. Outside of the Zone, Truphone offers regional bundles that provide predictable costs and higher quality network performance in key business areas including, Asia Pacific, Europe and North America. Truphone’s coverage spans more than 220 countries around the world. Truphone brings people closer to their international contacts, makes them more productive, and gives them the international quality of service they deserve.
Headquartered in London, with U.S. headquarters near Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, Truphone has offices across four continents and continues to expand globally. Truphone clients include FTSE 1000 and Fortune 500 companies across multiple industry sectors.
