Yesterday, TMCnet CEO Rich Tehrani posted a review about Callvine, a free group calling and texting app for iPhone.
Rich used the app while on the road when he needed to connect with a few coworkers. He group texted them via Callvine and asked when they could talk. Ten minutes was agreed upon and subsequently Ritch set up a conference call via Callvine from his iPhone. An email and SMS message went out to all conference recipients and at the scheduled time their phones rang to get into the conference.
Rich highlights other features of Callvine, including:
- You can also initiate an immediate call with a single button if you so choose.
- You don’t need to remember complicated dial-in instructions which seem to have pin-codes with never-ending digits.
- Calls under ten minutes are free and if you want to speak longer you can buy credits through the iTunes store.
